recommendations on good tv series to download?

can anyone recommend good tv series to download and watch? we just finished series 1-4 (up to the most recent episode from s04) of Breaking Bad, and are hooked. We also really liked season 1 of Walking Dead. Can anyone recommend any series that are as good as those? Never really watched many series so not really sure what's good. We heard Lost was good, and comments on that?

I really liked Lost, some people didn't. If you want really good quality shows, check out The Wire and Dexter. My friend says Mad Men is the best show ever created but I haven't watch it yet.

Season 5 of dexter made up for all the family bullshit of season 3.

Basically suck it up and power through season 3. It's worth it.

I watched the first 3 seasons and while the story played out it felt to be all the same to me.

Another series that is great to watch is Oz but it is a bit older but has a lot of good character development and plot.

Awesome show... we watched the whole series 3 years ago, and it didn't seem dated. Maybe once in awhile I'd laugh at a "new car" on the show, or some other reference, but not much.

Game of Thrones (drama, war(ish), character driven)

Band of Brothers/The Pacific (war... lots of war)



As for current seasons... the only show I'm really downloading and watching currently is Doctor Who, but I also get Top Gear when it's out, as well as watch some Australian docu-shows like The Force, Chopper Rescue, etc. It's kind of like American cops/EMT/rescue shows, without the horrifically bad hosts and false drama. It's just straight up.

I watched it all last year and it was great. I found it slow sometimes though. The Wire is the best show that has aired on HBO. It is regarded by many as the best show ever created. I would recommend watching that before the Sopranos.

The first 4 episodes are a little slow but once you get through them the reward is well worth it. Omar is the most ruthless and best character ever to star on television.
