Don't usually post these types of threads but I feel like they went completely above and beyond for me today and would like to give them props for their customer service. (as if anyone really doubts them anyways lol)

Went in for my winters today, ends up both my rear hubs are shot. Cort (sorry if spelling is wrong) found the parts for me, at a great price, said he'd install them for me as well (even though they don't do this type of work), also drove me to station so i could get back to work.

Also while there definitely found my summer wheels, :poosie: ;) :D :) that series of emoticons should convey how epic the rims im putting on my gti will be. In any case, i've never once in my life received such great customer service from any shop, business, store, etc in my life and feel like they definitely are the place to go for wheels and tires in Calgary.

Also on a side note after missing three hours of work today due to this and getting an oil change, many people at work asked where'd i'd been and after hearing about the level of service might actually have 3 or 4 different co-workers heading there for quotes for their winters. (have already sent family members and other co-workers there as well)

Urban X keep up the good work, it's shops like yours that make the car scene move forward positively!!!

yeah except those assholes over there convinced me to go with such an aggressive set of borbets im going to need to roll my fenders, get a stretch on the tires and possibly have to get new coilovers...damn those arm twisting bastards haha.

came home and had to pop like 5 tylenols from all the arm twisting lol.

but in all honesty greatest service ever and because of gary and cort im going to have an extremely badass stance come spring time.

Thanks again guys. See ya monday to pick up my car. ;)

I had good service with them when I bought winter tires for my CSX. painless and quick process to purchase and install.

Seems like Urban X is usually able to offer very attractive prices on tires, being specialists on them. When I was shopping around for Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s for my s2000 a while ago, I was susprised to be quoted quite a bit more for them than a few other "not-tire-specialist" shops at the time.

While we always try to be competitively price on all our goods, it is impossible to always be the cheapest on everything. Sometimes companies stumble upon deals that are not available through all channels and suppliers. Sometimes goods are bought through the grey market and not through normal channels. It happens... I always tell people that we try our best and if it happens not to be as good as you hoped on a specific item, don't hold it against us and try us again next time! Besides, I am not trying to be that cheap shop who is here today and gone tomorrow, or when you have a problem we can't take care of you. I am trying to be that shop that spends the extra money on only the very best equipment money can buy and pay the people who know how to use it so we can best take care of your stuff. that costs a lot more money than most shops are willing to invest, which means we have to actually make a buck or two or we won't last long. Sometimes we are worth a few extra bucks! ;)

The best way would be to either stop by/call the North or South shop. Winter is just around the corner and we are starting to get a ton of PM's and emails but we do our best to answer them in a timely manner.

North shop 403-769-1771

South shop 403-265-6553

edit: LOL Bob beat me to it

I certainly understand why prices can vary at any given time. I am actually the type of customer who doesn't mind paying a premium for better customer service from a very reputable shop like UrbanX. I only bring up that scenario because I wasn't quite expecting to be quoted almost $1600 for a set of tires that I could get for $1100 locally.

Like I said, I understand there can be variances and I still believe that UrbanX is a great shop. I don't hold anything against you.

^ What he said..

Not just that, but Bob will stand behind his work. There was a little mishap with my rims on my Jetta Wagon TDI with the alloys, a couple of nasty little dents in them. Bob just asked for photos, and then offered to pay for the rim repairs, no questions asked. That is the kind of service you should expect, and I'm pretty sure if you took that to crappy tire, you'd simply get told the STFU and get out.

This is also why I'm calling Bob first in my quest for winters this year.
