applying for jobs

when is the best time to apply for jobs for new graduates? im currently taking EDDT at SAIT, and am worried of not being able to find a job right away after school. I also know that a lot of the time its who you know in the industry; i have a bit of help, but i would prefer to try and see where i can go on my own

Now. Most big firms hire in November / December for April start.

Get on it ASAP. Big companies hire fairly early on in the semester. Also, if you have connections use it. Everyone else in the industry does. No point in trying to hold out and in the end, finding out that your connections already hired someone else. Apply to all the jobs you want, but also get in touch with your connections and see if they can point you in the right direction.
