AMG Road show or not, it's been on my mind to get a C63 AMG for a while now. I think seeing them in action, and getting a practical review from Rage has pushed the scales just enough to commit.

wow, that's quite unfortunate... and kind of unprofessional. I hope the other instructors were more civilized. It doesn't reflect kindly on the Mercedes-Benz brand if instructors are swearing at its customers.

The coupe was one of my favorites as well. I loved the SLS. The power is perfect and the car is totally balanced. The coupe was a little tail happy.

The MCT transmission was a little rough when moving slow, but was way smoother with shifts when going hard.

The SLS transmission reminded of the SMG in the M3 where when you hammer it, you can feel the hard fast shifts.

The CLS was my least favorite. That just came down to weight. Acceleration was slower and it had longer braking distances. It is a cool looking car and the handling was impressive for such a huge ass car.

The Best all around car and liked most by the participants in my group (except for Jordan :)) was the E class. There is a bit of lag with the turbos, but when the power comes on, the car really moves. I wish they would put the Bi-Turbo in the C class.

I think that the C63 with the performance pack is the way to go.

AMG makes awesome cars.

They invited me to the Florida event in November, where they'll be debuting the C63 BS for the tour. Too bad I can't make it tho, probably be in India around that time.

The SLS transmission, which is a dual-clutch, was slightly disappointing. The delay between hitting the paddles and downshifting weren't as fast as I hoped. Almost felt like the GTI's DSG downshifted faster. Upshifts were perfect.

I dunno why the C-Coupe felt so different (better) than the Sedan. Spec wise, everything is the same. MB must've tweaked the suspension better. Turn-in was awesome in the C-Coupe, better than the current M3's. Still lacked outright grip tho, but that's because the tires are still pretty skinny.

Some reviews say coupe is heavier, some reviews say sedan is heavier. Mercedes officially has it the same.

Haha. It definitely felt a lot different (lighter).

ya i noticed this a long time ago in video reviews it was pretty slow to downshift after hitting the paddle
