Got Rogers interent, their modem/wirelss router....

One room only has a single cat5 going to it, and I want both phone and internet.

Will this work with the rogers deal? Pair 1 (blue), separated and run to the phone jack?

I have done this as a last resort in the past. It will "work", but depending on the exact scenario it might be problematic. Analog phone lines can see pretty high voltages (compared to ethernet) so it can be a significant source of line noise. The longer the line run, the more significant the noise will be. For really long runs you might even see disconnects when the phone is ringing.
