ricky bob's raceland is about 5 mins out of calgary going towards edmonton
they have better faster carts and a better track that is indoor
as well as other fun things like robot boxing (i've heard you actually get in a robot and box)

If Ricky Bob' s has more stuff to do, it might be a better place to go, I heard they got 'mini' Nascar there too (drive around in circles!)

If it's Grand Prix, I'm definitely NOT doing the finance this time for group booking :)

Last time I was there to check it out all they had were the kiddie go-karts. None of the baby grand nascars. They did have a simulator. But no fast go-karts. :thumbsdow

well its the first right(balzac turn off) after the city limits on deerfoot
take your first left and then left again
(Not back on to deerfoot but the parallel road to deerfoot south)and it will be on your right hand side next to a rv dealership (i think)

Ricky Bobs, has 5 minutes races only? I think that's a bit too short. They don't do $/lap or $/hour! Why?
$6/5 minutes=$1.20 per minute. :madred:
But they have some variety there (boxing robots?)

At the other extreme you can have a really LOOONNNG 1-hour race (like last time) at which Grand Prix pricing is competitive if you do group booking; that's $58 per cart-hour with 10 carts going.

$58+$5 annual membership/60 minutes=$1.05 per minute.

i say grand prix.....cause i live in mckenzie...the far se for people who dont know....its already a 20min drive to grand prix..prolly like 1hour to ricky bobs.....my best lap was somthinglike 30.?? i dont know for sure...and are we booking it as agroup or just all going and seeing what happens

My best is 30.26, lap 30 of a one-hour long race. Everyone else had 29-28 :( (I was going vs. seasoned pros though)

Sunday better? If it's Saturday they may charge that $100 premium for booking the track.

You must have been using the 9 hp karts if you were doing the hour. I only used the 6 1/2 hp cars to get mine. Soon I will be doing the hour, then I will post my best time with those carts.:clap:
