Implied shortage insues, and magically all the stock currently in supply chains and warehouses nearly doubles in price. $75 2tb WD Green is now $130, 3TB drives that were nearing $120 are over $200.

Just like the gas stored in the tanks at the gas station go up due to market prices, and its already there at the point of sale..... sigh. All the best for Thailand's recovery though.

Just bought one a few weeks ago, so I'm good.

Sucks for business's though. Most private consumers can simply wait until they return to their normal cost.

On the flip side RAM is much cheaper by a huge margin due to the overstock in partial thanks to the tablet craze.

Just checked the prices, shit prices moved up by about to 20 or 30 bucks, wish I bought last week, need some more storage, but will try to wait it out.

I suspect it might be this way for a bit, they might have to just build a new fab. I should be good for a few months, still have 900gb free.

Just bought 4x1.5tb seagates off ebay for 180$ that should expand my array to have 6tb free. It should last me a bit.

I was going to buy a 2tb green this weekend but not at 130$
