Ok, so screw the Pontiac Solstices lol....I'm gonna check out 2 2004 4Runners tomorrow, one has 255,000km the other has 230,000....what should I look out for? I know these things can run forever with proper maintenance but anything I should be aware of?

Nope...why you want it? lol

Just seeing what I can get first....need a much cheaper vehicle if I want to buy a house soon...

wheel bearings... the fronts are a bitch and expensive too...

Otherwise, toyota rust issues, beyond that you're pretty golden on 4runners...

My wife has an 04 with 225k on it as well and there has never been n issue with it. Always serviced by Toyota and it has never required anything other than regular service.

What are these going for anyways?

V6 or V8's? Engines will go forever on these things, just check the front end CV/Ball Joints, struts etc...

Bumpin an old thread here as I'm still considering this....let's just say worse case scenario, the engine blows or the tranny goes...how much would I be looking at to fix this??

PS...and ya, it's a V6

Realistically, the engine and transmission aren't going to blow if they've been maintained and have oil in them. If you have more questions, feel free to PM me.
