Does anyone take this? I was grabbing some protein at GNC a few days ago and they guy told me I should be taking Fish Oil Pills as well. I hate fish and everything about it, so I never ate anything like that, but I'm guessing in a Pill it cant be that bad

it was like $40 or $50 with the card

Or I've been checking out bodybuilding.com and does got great reviews and only $25 shipped

If you are really worried about the fishy burps you can take krill oil. Its a phospholipid so it is absorbed better and you can take about half the amount and see the same benefit.

I take this:
http://www.larryscottsupplements.com/store/image/cache/data/ascenta/Ascenta%20-%20NutraSea%20DHA%20200%20mL-500x500.jpg
Its a high DHA formula which has helped tons with mental clarity and sleep. This is a squid oil. I do take a tsp of oil a day but it doesn't taste bad IMHO

On that note don't buy supplements at GNC you can always find cheaper online.

Fishoil is good shit for you. Best quality brand for the price ive had is this:

Liquid is much cheaper than pill form. If you need the convenience factor, then go for pills.

I get mine from just plain old safeway

http://www.jamiesonvitamins.com/2183

It was recommended to me by a pharmacist (family friend) with the reason being that jamieson is a more proven and trusted name than the random body building names with large claims and no history in the game.

In europe when you have a heart attack, after your treatement, they send you home with Omega 3's. I take Omega 3,6 and 9 3 times a day.

I used to take the fish pills but hated the fishy burps. Then the wife found this fish oil at costco that tastes like lemon pie filling. Take it every day straight.

I took an Omega 3-6-9 pill three times per day. Maybe it is a placebo, I don't know... but I feel damn good lately. :)

Omega pills are not placebo.

Honestly, stay away from GNC "house brand" stuff. It's mediocre quality, and for what you pay, it's a rip off.

The Jamieson stuff (Superstore carries it) goes on sale all the time and is more of a reputable brand IMO..

If you want some more expensive but not wallet breaking stuff, go to Costco (if you can) and they have a Swiss brand.

If you really want more premium stuff and don't have a Costco membership, then try one of the bigger natural health supplement/food stores.

Just make sure whatever you get in the end, its certified to be tested FREE of heavy metals and mercury.

P.S. On GNC, they got some good stuff. They carry some stuff nobody else has or at least has the best prices.
But unless ur buying a crapload, it's a rip off. Even then, stay away from buying the Nitric Oxide stuff. Honestly, it's just caffine+creatine+Nitric oxide (Which is only there to give you a feeling).

If you REALLY love that stuff, do yourself a favor and just take caffine/Nitric oxide pills for like 1/10th the cost. Last time I checked, a tub of NO-EXPLODE was like well over $60. I remember I bought that shit at Golds Gym for like $39 when it first hit the market, then all the crazy hype hit.

I was saying the same thing last night at the gym. I think it may be that when you're taking your supplements regularily you have a tendency to eat better at the same time, so that may play a role.

5 of these a day. And that Placebo comment is bullshit, I went a week without them and I legit felt withdrawals.

Mix Glucosamine with these fish oil and your good to go ;)

everyone has different reactions to this kind of stuff. some people will notice a huge difference, some none. i personally think the possible benefit is massive even if i don't notice it, and it's not like im dishing a ton of cash for it.

I buy them in a pill form our Dr said you can throw them in the freezer and its suppose to slow down the breakdown process eliminating the fish burps. Never had a problem since doing this.

I'm part of a health program that actually does regular blood testing and I can tell you that Omega 3 is one of the best things you can do for yourself. My Omega 6/3 ratio has dropped from 18 to 4.

i bought some extra strength triple strength omega's from costco the other day... supposedly one pill a day does the trick as opposed to the regular omega's i was taking before.

anyone else try these?

Dr. Terry Wahls

This MD recommends Omega 3 as well as an interesting food plan I have been following for two weeks now. There is solid science behind her recommends and the fact she was in a wheel chair and heading to a really terrible life, all this turned around when she changed her diet. Shocking the figures she goes through showing the decline of the US diet.

I felt good while taking 2 of the Jamieson per day. I was looking (Or just feeling) leaner, but ran out and kept forgetting to buy more. Now I am feeling fatter again.
