If the specs are legit though.....
But I still lol at the price

On a serious not thats pretty pointless on a FWD car. I could see an "R42" but not this.

Cos
11-09-2011, 05:25 PM
Well it is a 700hp V8 GTI.

mr2mike
11-09-2011, 05:27 PM
Regardless of the specs, modifying your car and then expecting an equal or greater return on your investment... you're in the wrong game.

Huge power on FWD...
How's the torque steer on that?

I lol'ed at the extremely poor wheel choice.

Too bad he has a better chance of having his first period than selling it for that price.

Nice ride though.

Wow, no way that thing is worth 65k and even if it was there are way better cars for the price. Like the colour though, but those rims are fugly.

LOL 700HP in a FWD?? And ugly to boot.

I think I'd take Rage's old HPF M3 for $20k less thank you.

I'm suprised that they fit the V8 in there mounted transverse.

Actually if you look at the engine bay shots it looks like the engine is mounted normally, not transversely, RWD perhaps?

Ad still says FWD, I'm guessing it's just using the front half of the quattro setup.

FWD audi's are longitudinally mounted so I guess it makes sense.

I may be wrong but from pic 7/8 it looks like its been mounted longitudinally.

Cool car, but to be honest for 65k I expected a little more...

How accurate is the speedo and is that the max this car will do?

Wonder how this car is with the steering and how stable it is at the 200km/h mark

Sam, wasn't your GTI a lease? How much do you want for the car?

Yeah if anyone actually looked at the photos you'd realize they are different sizes, quality, etc looks to be a bunch of random photos off the internet pieced together into a retarded ad.

Its a scam, although I don't see the point of it. Anyone dropping $65k on a car is going to want to look at it in person and have it inspected, he is probably going to ask for a wire transfer of a deposit and them disappear.

Why dont you look at this brand new jeep I have for sale. Only 20 grand. I will need a 500 deposit to not sell it to SugarPhreak before you get here. Wire transfer is fine.

How so? A simple email or call to the guy would net the same result.

Eurodrivers: Hi can I come see the car?
reply: Not in town anymore, I transferred overseas, please send me a deposit of 10% and I will arrange shipping of the car back to Calgary.

I love how fanboys blow things out of proportion and spend hours on debating something that would take 30 seconds to conclude.

I had a good mom joke lined up but thought better of it... lol

I guess there are those whose idea of good taste is getting approval by doing the same the same thing 90 percent of their peers would do while for others good taste is being original and appealing to the other 10 percent that actually get it...

no one is arguing they aren't good wheels..... just that they are ugly. I personally like the look, but that is probably because I am into dubs. To be honest when I first got into the dub scene I didn't like the look but it eventually it grew on me and now I actually like them.

I know a lot of people outside the dub scene that think they are ugly wheels. It is something like coffee, non coffee drinkers think its gross and wonder why anyone would spend money on it.

I really find these comments near sighted. You think a set of Schmidt th wheels is being original? That isn't being original, like the young emo kid trying to make a "statement" you are just following a different flock of sheep...

not original... I just think that on a VAG product they look amazing. Just my taste, and yeah lots of guys run them.

Now on a Honda... that'd be original.

Have you ever been to Wuste fest??

Sure around Calgary you aren't going to see them much, but go to any major VW show and you'll see lots. Again just following a different flock of sheep, it's been done.... A LOT, you're just kidding yourself if you think you are being original.

Yes i have been, thx for asking. Havent been in the scene for 2 years now so things have changed, when i was in the scene tho, there was hardly any ppl rocking it, even on vortex.

Everyone copied one another and boom, here comes the flock.

At the end of the day, the wheels to me are original as ive been dubbin for 8 years now. Just cause you saw 2 sets at wuste doesnt mean the wheels aint original and rare to see.

I can vouch for this, he was my co-pilot for the drive to Wuste. I've been three years in a row now and there are still very few sets of these wheels at these type of shows. Lots of BBS RS's but very few Schmidts.
