Sri Lanka / Langkawi

Headed to Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and Langkawi for 5 days next week. Any suggestions or recommendations from people who have been?

Sort of a strange comment. Would you say that San Francisco, South Korea and Thailand are an odd combination even though people do it all the time due to flights?

I'm meeting up with a chick in Sri Lanka for 3 weeks and another chick in Langkawi for 5 days. Why the hell not? :dunno:

I've actually heard Langkawi isn't all that great so we'll see how it turns out. I just want to meet up with the gal as she's a lot of fun...she promotes in the UK half the year and travels the other half. Love it.

Hopefully do some kayaking, maybe some diving depending on the vis. Looks like there are a few beaches too. I haven't had much time to research either Sri or Langkawi though so that's why I posted this thread....looking for ideas / suggestions!

That show doesn't seem too bad but it's all about food. I'm not too into travel shows since I just tend to go experience everything myself.

In Negombo today and the food is thus far great. Not sure what my plan is for tomorrow yet...
