My cheap little coffee grinder has bit the dust after one of my roommates decided to try to grind up some cheese in it....

So now I'm on the hunt and looking for something decent for a french press - night shift and will need lots of coffee! Did a search and the Solis Maestro (pro) seems pretty good for cheap. Other links were provided to espressotech but are now broken.

$100-$150 seems like a good budget for what I need.

What's everyone's opinion on manual coffee grinders? Where can I find one in Calgary?

You use those grinders to put your dutch in not coffee beans !

Can't remember the brand I have at home, but make sure you get a burr grinder

Phil and Sebastian have the Maestro plus for 175 tax in so whatever. Online it'll work out to the same since I need it before I leave here. Thanks and I'll update my thoughts on it.

Thanks Lint. Wish I would have planned this a bit earlier, but I'm not sure if I'll be in town still to receive and most importantly, USE it! Appreciate the link though.

+1 for the Baratza Maestro. Best bang for the buck. I love mine. I had to order it, though. Pretty sure I got it from here:

+1 for baratza. I'm using the baratza virtuoso at home and it's been great.

Yep and espressotec has good pricing and ships quick (over in BC).

Get all my stuff there. I went with a Virtuoso as well, but the Maestro plus or the Titan would be fine too.
