Has anyone used a 4Gb Xbox 360 with Optik TV? I called a Telus CSR and they told me that it was only the 250GB Pro and Elite that are compatible. I pointed out that the Xbox they give away is the 4Gb and she said it was not compatible. The FAQ's in Telus website says that any Xbox with a harddrive will work. I suspect that the harddrive is only for installing the required software.

I was under the impression it has to be an xbox elite as when I had telus installed in GP I showed the guy my xbox and said can he make it work, but he said I needed an elite.. Not 100% sure tho.

They give away a 250gb xbox and the 4gb one will not work.

The only Xboxs' that I deliver are the 250G slims. I've never seen a 4gig one from Telus.

It's what they're offering now:

Well there ya go. I delivered my first Telus Kinect add on today, but I didn't get any Xboxs' today. Next time I see one, I'll check to see if it's the 4 or the 250.

Wow. I have talked to 4 different people at Telus and have recieved 4 different answers. Apparently the 4Gb that they are giving away works with Optik TV and is a trial. In the future you will be able to use any 4Gb but not currently. Anyways that is what the last person told me.

What can you do with this compatability? I have Optik TV, and an 4GB Xbox that I've upgraded to a 250GB...

you can use a 4gb model, but you need to have the 250gb HDD attached to install the optik TV software. once it has been installed, they give you a license number you have to input into the xbox. once that is done, you are good to go.

as a side note, if you have more than 1 xbox, you can transfer the HDD between the 2 and use Optik TV on either.

no WIFI but they can provide a Coax to Ethernet converter so it works over existing coax in the house....
