anyone have a tool that will allow me to cut rebar. I have 15ft rods that I would like to cut into 1ft. for Stakes ice rink boards

It's pretty simple actually, there are no special tools needed.

You can buy a cut off blade at your local rona/lowes/home depot and attatch it to a circular saw/chop saw/side grinder.

You could also use a sawzall with a metal blade, or if you are really darring you could break out the hack saw.

Rebar cutters are nice to avoid iron filings everywhere.....

Hit up totem in the evening, go to the yard and toss the guy running the gate a few bucks and see if they'll let you use their cutter. Better yet, do a coffee run for them. Probably 3 guys or so working $3 coffee... You're in it for around $10 for cutting.

Bolt cutters dude, no sparks, no power tools, done. If hyou have to buy a pair, IMO suck it up. Then when your wife chains up the front door or something else of value, it'll have been a worthwhile investment.
