Okay so I'm looking for a decent pair of headphones with clear crisp sound as well as decent bass.

I was going to go for beats-by dre Tour but found out their performance is mediocre compared to the price.

The two options I'm looking at are:

Shure noise-isolation SE215-K

and Etymotic HF5

Which would you recommend?

Btw does etymotic headphones have..decent amount of bass? Or is it weaksauce?

i own a pair of HF5s, they are most comfortable pair of earphones i have ever owned and i've been through a ton of in-ears. They are also super lightweight and give a really crisp sound but the bass is lacking...

I have the Bose in-ear headphones, they're pretty cheap compared to other competitors. Nice clean crisp sound, decent bass, and they're very comfortable to wear!

Ummm I'd say around 100$

and bose in-ear seem decent but there isn't any noise isolation on them...

Futuresonic Pro M5's. Good bass, clear highs, overall a nice sound. A little lacking in the looks dept., but if you can get past that, they work surprisingly well. I know they come in at $200, but I've got a deal that I'll PM you about them.

i'm using UE Triple-Fi 10... great earphones, very neutral sound. But i'm not a bass head so if you are, these ain't for you.

yah fuck the bose ones, way too much outside noise passes through them.

do these have decent bass?

I've read some reviews that say the bass sucks on these...

The bose have more bass than the shures I found. My biggest issue just comes down to being able to hear everything around you with the bose. I know there is a very long thread dedicated to in ears. quite a few guys on beyond have shure's and swear by the fit for gym/everyday. When i'm on the bus to work I have my iphone just a small sliver from max volume to try and tune out other people/bus noise (with the bose that is)

yeah i think bass is definitely a requirement for me

i had monster turbines (I don't know which version..but i guess the cheapest ones cuz they were about ~180) and the base was so weak in it

My skullcandy ink'd had more bass lol

anyway, any other headphones you would recommend, that are isolation + have decent base + decent music output ?

btw that in-ear thread is way to fcking long..

I know the beats tours are supposed to have a lot of bass? you could try those out.

depending how much you want to spend i'm sure you could hit up some higher end in-ears.

the bose ones are decent depending on the usage. all I know is when I go from office to transit I switch to my fat beats over ears. because I can't stand listening to peoples convos on the bus or its motor.

if you don't feel like reading that huge thread, than the most important info you can pull from it is this link

http://www.head-fi.org/

that site gives tons of rating/full reviews bout every piece of information on in ears. spend some time and make a decision

colinxx235 is right. Head-fi is a great place to learn about the options for headphones. Here's a link to the IEM review thread.

|joker| has tested over 200 in-ears, and I can agree with most of what is posted in his reviews. He even breaks down the options into price points, so you can stay within your budget. Lot's of reading, but a great resource.

I personally love my Bose In-Ear 2s. If you have an iPhone they offer ones with remote too =] I have a set of Beats but they just don't cut it for me in terms of bass.

I checked around on RFD and didn't catch it in their flyer. If I'm able to get them at that price online, do you want a pair as well?
