What time do you Beyonder's usually hit the hay?

Back in my younger days, I use to be able to pull 2-3 all nighters back to back, nowadays, I'm exhausted by like 1am. So sad. Am I getting old?

For those who work normal 8-4, 9-5pm jobs etc. What is a reasonable time to go to sleep?Does your body need a full 8 hours to function or is that a myth?

I work 9-5 shifts and usually try to get to bed around 10-11pm. I wake up at 6:45am. Is that weird?:banghead:

do you guys typically only get up when you need to? If i need to be somewhere I usually get up 45 minutes before hand even if its for 10 or 11 in the morning.

If stuff is 10 or 11am i generally still get up by 930 give or take... it's built into my body's natural alarm. Or I could blame my crappy blinds and the sun coming in through the window.

One thing definitely is I get up REALLY early the next day after drinking... even if I was drinking til 4 or 5, i'll be up by 8am latest.

I generally get 5-6hrs sleep in a 24hr period. Even when I can sleep more I tend to wake up automatically, and for the most part I seem to function okay(keep in mind I have a fucked sleeping schedule because of work...)

Poll is missing a slot; 12:00-1:00. Which is when I hit the sack almost every night. Wake up right around 6:00 whether an alarm is set or not. Last week I woke up at 5:57 three days in a row. Alarm goes off at 6:00.

Can't sleep-in to save my life. The only way is if I take an over-the-counter sleeping pill. I do that on the odd Saturday night.

Depends, my sleeping schedule is all over the place thanks to university haha. But I get more sleep than the average university student, that's for sure. It ranges from 8 to 10 hours a night.

I usually go to bed around 11-12 and wake up between 6-7 depending on the day. One thing I do is I get up way before I have to be at work and have coffee and watch tv and surf the web for about an hour before I even jump in the shower. It makes more sense to get that extra hour of sleep but its my routine...

2-3 am, wake up around 6 to piss and drink some water, go back to bed and wake up around 10-11. At one point i was going to sleep around 6am and waking up around 2pm. I never have been and never will be a morning person

Usually around 3:30AM-4AM. Anytime before 3, doesn't work. Even if I take melatonin, i'll get a light sleep for maybe an hour tops, then wake up again.

I was working moring shifts and was up at about 5:30AM and in bed by 9:00PM everyday.

But I recently remembered days suck and went back to working evening shifts. Now I normally sleep at about 1:30AM and wake up by 10:00AM (as you can see I am staying up later then usual).

I doubt it is a need for most people to get eight hours, but, personally I need my eight hours to wake up the next day and feel like I have had a nice long rest; I can pull a few five our six hours sleeps but only if I have been getting a number of frequent eight hour sleeps in the last few days.

It sucks though, I feel old at 23 needing to get my eight hours regularly. I only see it goning downhill watching my old man sleeping about 10 hours everyday; he would always be in bed by 8:00pm when I was living at home.

I used to go to bed around 1. But I just moved to Singapore and haven't adjusted to the time change completely. Going to bed at 10 and waking up at 6. I don't really work per se. Maybe 15 hours a week. I try and get no less than 9 hours of sleep.

Once I start partying with Russian models. It will likely be 7 am bedtime. :poosie:

Between 9-11pm for me depending on how tired I am. I get up at 3am to head to the gym before I go to work.

When I'm on days off my sleep schedule goes out of whack. Up later and I can't sleep in at all for the first few days. Still manage to wake up between 5-6am regardless of the time I go to bed.

ExtraSlow

Go to sleep between 9 and 10 pm. Normal Wake time is 5:20 AM. On weekends, sometimes I can sleep in until 7:00 am, but not very often.

That Sleepyti.me is weak. What you really want is an app for your smartphone (available for android or the iSuck) that tracks your sleep cycles (by movement) and wakes you only when you are already in a light sleep cycle.
It's gold, although tricky to use with two people in one bed. That won't be a problem for most beyonders though.
Here's one version of that: Sleep As Android App (http://www.appbrain.com/app/sleep-as-android/com.urbandroid.sleep)

Some of you have crazy hours. I am up at 5:30 on weekdays, 7 on weekends - these don't change no matter what time I go to bed.

Sleep isn't work the weak - sleeping in is for the weak.

I usually go to bed around 10:30pm and wake up at 5:50am. Weekends are usually 11:30pm to 10am.

At my last job I didn't have to wake up until 7am, and I still went to bed around 10:30pm, really miss that extra hour of sleep lol.

Bed at 10:00ish and up 5:30 - 6:00ish. Saturday & Sunday I can usually stretch it to 7:00ish but not much more. Even if I've been up to 1:00 or 2:00 the night before, it's been years since I've slept past 8:30.

You might need to take some time to get your body back to it's regular sleep cycle, by tweaking your sleep time.

I used to have DSPS 2 years ago, because of school, pulling all nighters and sleeping during the day, then night, then pulling all nighters again, totally messed up my circadian rhythm.

Anyways all I did to get back a regular rhythm was to tweak my sleep time each day for a good 2 weeks, to find what worked for me. Also you gotta prepare your room so that you don't get any distractions (no lights interfering, no noise, comfortable bed and pillow, cozy temperature)

So each day, I experimented with a different sleeping time starting at 6pm. Then the next day at 7pm. Then the next 8pm...etc...and seeing when I would wake up restful.

I found 10pm sleep time and waking up at 6am was when I felt restful, so I tried it again for the next few days and I always felt fully rested with this time period. I've sleeping around this sleep cycle for awhile give or take an hour or so on the weekdays and it varies on the weekend. Most of the time I don't even need an alarm to wake me up.

But yea try that out and hopefully it helps you out.

I aim to get to bed by 10:30, up at 6:30am. I do fine with less than 8 hours of sleep, but if I make an effort to get a good 8 hours in, I wake up feeling like a million bucks.

COD, Dexter, Hell on Wheels and the Walking Dead have been preventing me from getting my eight hours recently though.

Made a new rule this year: Nookie before 10 or GTFO. I cant be late for work anymore.

Get up at 6-6:30 to get to work by 8.

I don't work regular hours (7 on 7 off), but no matter what my shift, I'm at my optimum with 8 hours of sleep. I tried for years to go with less, and I always fuck shit up at work if I don't.

Even on my week off, I naturally get 8 hours of sleep. If I crash at 11pm, I wake up at 7am, if I crash at 1am, I wake up at 9am, etc.

8 Hours is perfect for me. Everyone is different though.

Try to sleep by 9 every night but it's usually 10 or 11 (damn Skyrim).

Up between 5-6 depending on how much love I give the snooze button and if the wife needs to be up for work early.

Lately, I've been getting 5-6 hours of sleep per night - which isn't enough. When I am getting enough sleep, I find that 7 hours of sleep is about right for me and don't notice any additional benefit from getting that 8th hour.

:werd: I need at least 8 hours of sleep to be on my game. If I get more, even better. I usually go to bed between midnight and 1 am and up between 9-10am.

I hate getting up before 9am. Never been an early riser. I hated going to school all my life because of having to be up early. Snowboarding is difficult now because I have to wake up around 7 haha It only makes sense I didn't end up in the corporate world 8 to 5 and having to decide between wearing a $400 and $4000 suit. So not my style.

I have kids... the amount of time I sleep is completely different from day to day...

I am lucky that I can survive on small amounts of sleep. I don't usually go to bed until after 11 and I'm up around 6... on a good night... lol...

I can be up several times through the night... dog waking me up, cat waking me up... one of the girls having a nightmare... etc, etc, etc.

Weeknights I goto bed any time between 11pm - 1am, I wake up at 7:00-7:30 am.

Weekends I'm usually up till 1 - 2 am, but wake up again around 7:30-8:00.

After getting used to waking up early, if I wake up any time around 9:00 am, I already felt like I've wasted part of my day.

I remember being in college and sleeping in until 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and thinking it was boss.... now I think back of how many hours I've wasted lol.

12:30-1:30am, and wake up around 6:30-7:00am on weekdays. On weekends, 2:00-3:30 and up around 9:30-11:00. I also snooze on the train, so that helps out.

Some people just don't need as much sleep as others. I need at least 7 or I'm pretty tired the next day. 8 is ideal for me.

I usually go to bed anywhere from 11:30 to 12:30, and wake up 7:30ish.

Weekends I usually go to sleep anywhere from 12:30-2:00, but wake up around 9:30-10:00.

sleep at ~1am on weekdays, and up at 6:30am. can run on this much sleep for about 4 days and on the 5th day my body is destroyed. but then on weekends it flips to sleep at 4-5 am and wake up at 12pm.

I have shiftwork at the airport. So it used to be evening only, and I'd go to sleep at about 3 am after finishing at 1:30 to 2 AM. My schedule now rotates every 6 weeks, so its 6 weeks of 3PM to 1:30AM, then 6 weeks of 5AM to 3:30PM. When I work mornings I try to go to sleep by 8PM, so I wake up at 3:30 to 4 AM.
