No need for a car anymore. Literally just sits there. I walk to work, I walk to the store, I walk pretty much everywhere if not I bike. Live too close to work to really have it sit there for nothing.
Gonna free up some cash and go carless for a while.
Car has a cam (can hear it in the idle), chipped, lowered, 15 inch rims (not the nicest choice but work for winters, which are fitted with brand new winters from Urban X, brand new rear hubs, disks, studs (done by the guys at UrbanX as well), has a deck (fuse is blown easy fix), dash lights not working (either fuse or bulb...been too lazy to fix since i barely drive it), somewhat fresh full synthetic oil change. Interior is mint, exterior is almost 100% rust free, bit of fading on the roof, little bit of rust on the hatch.
Think it has a bit of a vacuum leak since the revs will randomly creep up at a red light but a slight blip on the gas will drop it right back down. Idles nice and steady at startup other than the little bit of ??? waviness I'll call it of the cam. Will need a bit of exhaust work but nothing major.
Drives solid, looks great, sounds great (with exhaust fixed), decently fast.
Anyways bought it for 4000$, put in a decent amount of new parts and new tires, only had it a couple months.
looking for 3500$ o.b.o. Willing to entertain any good offers.
PM me I do check beyond very often.
Perfect car for a vw fan, needs very minor work to be completely mint.
i.e. exhaust (cheap fix), couple fuses or bulb, and track down vacuum leak which doesn't affect drivability at all.
Put all the issues out in the open, car is definitely worth the price but I really wouldn't mind avoiding paying insurance, gas, random repairs, mods, etc...
