Spotted in Singapore

I have been in Singapore for about 2 weeks now and will be here for another 10 or so. I keep spotting things on the street and haven't had much opportunity to snap a picture. This afternoon I had a very beautiful model gave me a tour of her boyfriends parking garage. Here is some of what I saw. She is going to try and convince him to give me a ride in one of his ferraris. :love:

the cars are not the expensive part, its the roadtax i think. i know when i was living there in 2000, my folks owned a 96 civic and it costed them 70-80k

i'm pretty sure it's the import tax on anything that isn't sort of 'local', i'm not sure about S'pore, but for M'sia at least there's a massive tax on anything newer that's imported.
as in local i mean Proton or Perodua kinda stuff, to keep the economy 'in country' i guess, then there's also the engine size excise tax on top of import

well the cars aren't dirt cheap coming off the boats from Japan, when i was back there my uncle had bought a year old 4.0L landcruiser prado with ~50k kms, was about 150000k CDN after engine size tax and base cost.

a 2 year old camry there atm goes for almost 40k CDN, even more if it's over a 2.5L sized engine.

It all goes by engine displacement. I think its about 57,000 on average. But they also have a congestion system so certain roads will cost you a dollar or 2 at certain times of day.

He lives in some big condo building. Those aren't all his, just the DBS. His 458 is getting maintenance and apparently he just sold his California. I think he is former royalty of some sort from Japan.

And last night I was partying with a bunch of people that work at Marina Bay Sands and this guy showed up. Naturally I asked to go for a ride. Next time I am gonna get to drive it. I was drinking so I was not gonna even attempt to drive. Sorry this looks like a bad pic, my camera isn't good at night.

My jaw dropped when i saw this and I became weak in the knees when she started up. Around 7000 i began to feel faint. The owner was telling me that this is one of the few super cars in singapore that you can get in standard. Most ferrari and lambo are autos.
