Nice tree.

Your house looks like something out of an IKEA catalog. Not trying to insult, i really like the look to be honest.

Not my style but different strokes...y'know.

I think we're going to keep talking about how clinical your house/decorations are.

We went with a more festive approach. Little guy loves all the coloured blinking lights:

That tv seems bit small for that size room. Any intentions hooking it up to 5.1? Can I ask where you go that tree from?

for some reason the OPs fireplace is what caught my eye first, almost as if you could open it up and :

would be so awesome, heat AND bbq bird

we don't have a tree yet but i have been told already if i mention anything about getting a fake xmas tree one more time, there will be no xmas dinner lol

My real tree is still waiting in the backyard.

Will probably set it up this weekend.

Here's my Christmas tree - Still going to try and add some more ornaments and was playing around with the settings last night on the camera.

Cool shot, what are your settings for that? Any editing involved, looks a little processed to my eyes.

89Coupe: Its a little stark for my tastes, but looks very nice. I find that to be involved in leading edge design, you're going to turn some people off who don't share your vision. It happens. Our living room has white furniture and tables as well.... but to try to offset the clinical look, we added red accents. At first I was unsure about them, but they really to help balance everything out.

As far as trees are concerned, my wife and I totally suck. We have a tree and all sorts of decorations, but have been far too lazy to put it up this year. In our defense, actual Christmas and the days around it will be spent with my family so it isn't like we get to enjoy the tree *on* Christmas or anything...

I'd be interested to see additional photos of your home. I'm quite impressed that you carry over the prestige of a nav tech G35s into your living quarters.

That's a nice tree and probably took a bit of time to put up / together! I have to agree with the others - it does look like something out of a catalog :D

Personally, I like my tree to have more of a 'personal' touch. We've got lots a few personal ornaments (ie: something you had as a kid, ones that we made for our kids, ones that we got when we first got together, got at special Christmas events, etc.) that I can look at and have some memory of how you got that ornament.

I just don't get fake christmas trees. Saw some at golden acres that were going for $500+. It's insane. My wife and I started a bit of a tradition where we want to get a different type of tree each year. This year it's a balsam fir. Last year we did an old school Lodge Pole Pine that looked like an epic charlie brown tree.

This year's treee....

Clean! You must have OCD to live in a house like that. Actually I don't mind it, I think my wife would add some clutter in a few minutes though.

i don't have christmas tree, haven't had one since I moved out of my parents house 15 years ago. probably won't get one until I have kids, or one of my brothers has kids and they come over for christmas.

i do love christmas trees though, one of the few pagan rituals than survived the onslaught of Christianity.

Coupe (or anyone else that posts pics of personal stuff) obviously wants people's opinions and their "accolades" otherwise he/they wouldn't even bother posting them. Don't want others' opinions on your pics? Don't post them in a public forum.

So in the spirit of this thread:

Brad, digging the scheme on your tree and love the color from the fireplace and tv in the shot. Well done. Your house is totally my style btw. The only thing I find weird is how small a circumference the tree is with respect to its height...looks odd as far as a more traditional tree goes.

Great setup man. :)

EDIT...nah fuck it, I dig the weird proportions now haha!

I want a mini cedar of lebanon as an xmas tree, short and wide! :D

question is though, is how many people are using real versus fake tree? I don't have one this year since i just moved to my new place but I fully intend to have a real tree next year.

x100. My favorite part of Christmas is the smell of the tree. Still takes me back to when I was a kid with my Mom and Dad.
That being said, last year I ran out of reasons to keep using "real trees" when my sister offered us her fake one for free. It was an expensive tree ($500) with lights built in. The wife hated the constant cleaning and maintaining of real, as well I cringed every year I had to fork out around $100 for something that is so abundant, living so close to the rockies.

I still hate a fake tree though. I miss the real one :(
