Help! How much to fix this?

Ok, so some f*#%ing douchebag in a truck dinged the door on my car, made a huge dent and cracked the paint. Aside from the hit and run, matters are worse because the cracked paint flaked off so now I have a toonie sized whole which is right down to the metal.

Any ideas how much it would cost to fix this? There is also some dents as well which are from the same incident. I would like to try and stay away from going through insurance.

Any thoughts on if I should touch this up in -10C weather? I have a garage.

Paintless dent repair will likely cost you $200 or thereabouts. Then you have to look at painting it. A typical body shop would charge you probably around $400 or so to fix the dent then paint the door.

I know a guy in town that works out of his garage and rents a paint booth for the actual painting. He does phenomenal work, and isn't very expensive at all. He'd probably charge a couple hundred Im guessing for that. Let me know if you want his contact info.

hey thanks for the tip. I actually totally forgot about this thread as I got it fixed by a nice guy on beyond

His name is Chris and he works at Chippy Auto on 38th ave NE. Anyways, he was able to fix the paint, and then worked together with Eco-dent to remove the dent. Total cost for paint was $290 and dent repair of another $150 so $440 total. I would say that the paint work was great and the dent repair is not bad although there are still some small dents that are remaining.

Chippy was also nice enough to give a beyond discount and wash my car. Thanks bud!
