Canon Rebel XS (EF-S 18-55 Kit)
Never Used, Never Opened.

$420

The Canon Rebel line is famous for its excellence in image quality, technology and additional features. We love this particular Rebel model because of its features, which include seven-point auto focus and the ability to continually shoot three frames per second. These features allow you to quickly focus on your target so you'll never miss a shot. With up to three frames per second of continuous shooting, this DSLR camera can capture more of the action. Simply hold the shutter release down to capture multiple images.

The Canon Rebel XS has a 10.1 megapixel image sensor that will deliver beautiful photos. Canon uses its latest DIGIC III image processor to provide outstanding color and detail. Combined with the CMOS sensor, your images will have less noise and greater detail.

If an HDMI connection and HD movie capability are on your DSLR camera wish list, you will need to look elsewhere for your entry-level DSLR camera. We are disappointed that this camera does not have these capabilities, but we understand that HDMI connectivity and HD technology may not be a priority for every consumer.

This DSLR camera has an easy-to-use interface that will allow you to navigate through menus and select the features and functions you want. The Rebel XS makes the transition from point-and-shoot to DSLR easy with the Live View and at least six automatic shooting modes.

This DSLR camera's manual features function pretty much like other digital SLRs do. You can select most of the manual modes using the selector dial. On this DSLR camera, the mode button is located just behind the shutter-release button.

The Canon Rebel XS has all the fixin's of one of the top-10 DSLR cameras on the market today. With simple lines and a classic black finish, this Canon camera is the perfect size to fit into your purse or backpack. This DSLR camera has a 2.5-inch LCD monitor, which is smaller than the screens on other entry-level DSLR cameras on the market today, which typically have 3-inch monitors. Yes, the Rebel XS is only missing .5 inches, but when viewing images, you may miss this extra space. We are also disappointed that the monitor does not have swivel capabilities, which makes it easier to capture images at all angles.

This DSLR camera comes equipped with a built-in flash that you can pop up when you are indoors or in other locations with low lighting by pressing the flash button. Again, we are a little disappointed that the flash does not automatically pop up when you are in low-light conditions when the camera detects low ISO levels.
