Good to hear bro. Your car was recovered quick just like Terry's Civic

Don't know anything yet about where it was found or what. cops towed it directly to there impound for inspection.
On a side note, the police did say that the footprints they found in the snow that night are identical to a number of other break-ins so likely this guy's been at it for a while.

Thats usually the case. Many think that car thefts and theft from vehicles are done by a ton of different people - but it is usually the same person or persons doing it over and over again until they are caught.

Glad to hear your car was found.

Before this thread dies, how do thieves steal a car that has a chipped key? I could never figure it out.

I think they broke into the house and stole the key for this one?

Keep your eye out in this area boyz. On top of this my neighbour across the street had his vehicle broken into last week...We'll get em. Wrong area to pull this crap.

A point to consider, my parents had their home broken into twice, sixty days apart and just long enough to get the stolen items replaced with insurance. The cops said B&E types like to swing back and steal again as they know the house and have had success previously. Criminals are lazy basically and these crimes were done by the same crew as they were caught in time.

After the second B&E, they bought an alarm system (lights, signs, etc) and all is well years later. Criminals move on to an easier mark, always one next door or down the street.
