It is that time of year again and I'm sick, what IS the best sore throat and inflamed sinus remedy?

Gargle with salt water and get something that numbs the sore throat like cepacol.

Listerine does it for me every time. I let it start to go down my throat, then I bring it back up. Sore throat is gone for a few hours. As soon as I see someone is sick I go and rinse with Listerine too, I keep a small bottle at work for when someone comes into my office sick...

Listerine is the best when you start feeling a sore throat coming

Mouthwash may help the symptoms but it won't prevent you from getting sick.

If you're this early with just a sore throat, I would recommend lots of vitamin c and cold fx.

And, if it doesn't seem to be getting better in a couple of days, have a Dr take a swab for strep throat.
I had strep earlier this year, and it's naaasty.

I did find that Chloraseptic max losenges seemed to be the most powerful. I didn't get relief from anything else.

Man I could never get used to cepasol, numbs the tongue as well and makes my stomach turn. If you like black licorice, stash makes a pretty good licorice spice tea (herbal-no caffeine) make a pot and leave the tea bags in the water, this tea never goes bitter and the longer it's in there the sweeter and thicker the tea gets, it is great on a sore throat.

If you get plugged up try drixoral, it is hands down the best nasal spray I've ever used.

Drixoral is the best nasal spray... except don't over use it or you will experience bad nose bleeds

Netipot, better than any medication I've ever taken. I use it 3-4 times a day when I'm starting to get sick and it cuts your sick time in half and lets you breath through your nose no problem.

- Also use mouthwash 3-4 times a day
- Breathe Right strips before bed
- If it's really bad, combine the above with the liquid Tylenol version of Dayquil/Nyquil and you're good to go.

if it is full blown sinus congestion afrin works well ... but only use it for a few days.

I dunno why but I find chewing chlorophyll gum helps, ie) clorets or 'extra' chlorophyll.
