Seriously?

Turkey only needs ONE ingredient.

Coarse salt.

No marinading, no brining, no glazing. Just thaw the bird, bring it to room temp and cover it with salt and put it in the oven.

Brine it in just regular molasses and salt. Cook in oven bag. So good.

And baste. After the juices start to fill the pan I baste every 15-20 minutes. That's how you get the golden brown skin.

The problem with smoking (or deep frying) a turkey is that you get no drippings for gravy.

- Brine
- Fill it with fruits/veggies that you like
- Salt and Pepper on the outside...

And the winning ingredient:

An entire package of bacon covering every inch of that bitch.

MMMmmmmmmmmmmm....

If you smoke in a stand alone smoker for 4 hours and 180. Then finish in the oven you get more dripping than you know what to do with.
