Last night it went down to 96.9 by my house - a $0.07 decrease

Then I realized that it'd save me ~$7 a month on my own fuel usage and the savings were not impressive any more.

Yep. I stopped caring about prices awhile ago. For me, I need fuel, I stop at Shell. Done.

I thought I was the only one that didn’t really give two shits about the price of gas! I need gas I fill up, I could never tell you what the price of gas is haha.

Swipe the card, fill up, done.

$0.959 at costco last night :D

I don't drive all over town to find cheap gas, but when one of the cheapest places is just as close as a more expensive place... why not stop there?

Seems like I am one of few that does care. I miss my fuel prices being $0.45/Litre. :(

Either way, great news! might need to fill up sooner rather than later!

Ballers lol. :poosie:

I spend ~$400 a month on gas at $1.10

I'll take the 15% savings any day. That's two more kids I can sponsor in Africa.

Buy a Jeep, $400.00 is a drive around the block. $100.00 a week is not hard to do at all these days.

93.9 by my house this morning.

Going with my original though that it's a Mohawk... a zoom on the writing on that green tag speaks of Ethanol blended gas... and that was a Mohawk push back in the day.

The station also has that beige colored siding which was their standing building color.

Am I right? Is there a prize? lol...

Mohawk station at glenmore and shepard/ogden road SE, doesn't exist any more, so yes, the pic is very old :)

(I used to work there :P you can almost see the kings crew clubhouse in the BG on the far left)

Sorry I was looking at Cochrane pricing as I live out that way. Looks like I need to fill up in the city before I head home.

haha 2003, when they introduced 94 octane.

You'd figure the 94 octane gave away the answer.

Yea I definitely wouldn't have said 92.

I started driving in '05 at around 64.9c/L

Back in '92 I was 4 years old where my dad would drive around endlessly because I sleep in the car and wake up right when we get home. Always. I remember seeing 32.9c/L and I thought that was expensive.
And then there's my dad telling stories about 10 cents / GALLON, leaded.

Just paid $1.139 for Shell 91 on 17th. My gas bills are usually $300-400 a month for my Subaru.

Yeah I started to drive in 2002 and gas was under $0.50. I remember when it went over $0.75 I thought I was going to lose my mind.

First few times I filled up my car for less than $10.00. Now that wont even get me 100km.

I spend $1500/month on gas :s 15% is noticeable to me.

And no I don't look at gas prices. Stop swipe and go. Got a lot of air miles and petro points though :poosie:

Ya that's the good ol' station that everyone stopped by before heading to Race City...

But yeah it's nice that gas is cheap, relatively speaking, but how does that even matter..? If you gotta fill up, you gotta fill up!

For me about $65 on premium every 1 1/2 weeks in my Legacy GT and I only drive it to and from work, only during rush hour, Tuscany to downtown.

Costco definitely has the cheapest premium in town, as they charge only about 6 cents over regular (most are 10 cents), and their regular is already something like 6 cents cheaper than Superstore (the next cheapest).

LOL.... jees I'm old.

Been driving since ~1986, so it's all kind of a blur.

Oh, the good old days when oil was $25 a barrel lol

Funny thing is, I distinctly remember when I bought my 5..0 Mustang in 1989. I got my first Canadian Tire gas card, and back then, I blew $350 in one month on gas lol.

The Viper is insane. I love driving it, so there were days last summer I blew $70 every 2 days lol

When I started working at the local Petro-Can back in '98, gas was around 35 cent/L.

My boss (the owner) would go nuts every time we would get a call to raise the price! :nut: He would go and check the other local stations prices and call in to try and hold off (if Petro jumped first).

When prices marched to 40 cents plus he thought we would have to close because no body would buy gas for that price!

Some days would be dead after the price went up... I don't think that happens anymore, people just pay whatever now!

Also remember gas being under 25 cents a litre when I first moved to Calgary - could fill my El Camino (83 litres) for under $20.

This....I fill up once every 1-2 months and no matter what gas prices do, it won't change my fill up cost more than about $5 so I couldn't care less. I just go to Shell's for the airmiles.
