Hi,

Today i purchased 2 samsung LED monitors SA300..

I am using DVI on both, both are cyrstal clear with next and browsing

However when playing a bluray, or hd video ,or even youtube hd (the really high quality 1080ps) the video is grainy..

I searched google its a common problem but havent found answers.

What i did try

Lastest drivers for both video cards, flushed old drivers
installed monitor drivers.

What did work:
hooking up the old LCDs video was perfect.

Any suggestions? or is this just the nature of LED?

thank you in advance.

My best guess would be that since it's a lower end monitor with a cheap TN panel, that's as good as it gets. I've seen some cheap TN panels that just look awful (my old work monitors, for example).

Also, LED is just the back lighting technology, the display is still an LCD.

If you want a really good LCD, look for something with an IPS panel, like this:

If you're going to be using it as a TV as well, you may benefit from a better monitor.

try changing computers/
different video card..

i guess how the previous posted said they are limited to quality.

like full screen HD video is low quality.. running 1080p native resolution

i connect the computer to older LCD picture is amazing with any video even on my HD sony crt.

oh well.
