I'm surprised this thread hasn't been started yet. Let's here what you hope to accomplish in 2012

Poker Goals
[ ] - Hit 200,000VPP ($16,100 in free money) (Pokerstars)
[ ] - Maintain 6% ROI at the end of the year in Head-up

Life Goals
[ ] - Continue going to the gym
[ ] - Lose beer gut by continuing to run and eating healthy
[ ] - Stop drinking beer!
[ ] - Buy ticket for Europe 2012 (No idea how long I want to stay there, but I don't want to be in Canada
[ ] - Do more productive things with life!

I started 2011 off Living in Europe (Traveled a bit) and coming back to travel around Canada/USA for a month, and going back to school.

I think the year was pretty good, I have had much worst years, but I think 2012 can be much better and am excited to start it fresh!

Working on starting a small business with a friend.

Keep working both my jobs until I start making enough money at Husky to quit my second job.

Keep losing weight. It was my resolution last year and I'm down 65 pounds this year. Got about maybe 15 left to go, then I'll start bulking up.

Stop being a wuss and work up the courage to start doing gaps on my bike again. Haven't since I broke my ribs and shoulder.

Work my way up to at least a 15 to 20 foot drop.

Start university in environmental management (hopefully this year)

Mine are mostly easy ones that will make my day to day life a lot easier.

- photo a day of both my kids for 2012
- stop eating shitty food and get healthy
- work on tidying up as the day goes so I don't get so overwhelmed with mess by the end of the day that I just ignore it
- get more sleep
- start writing again
- start cooking more, especially during the day for my kids
- finish polishing off the presentation aspect of my business and keep better records
- stop spending so much money on useless crap

And the last and biggest one would be to finally beat this f$?#*! PPD so I can go back to being something like the person I was 3.5 years ago.

Happy new year everyone!

I also want to drink less, eat better and work out more, but those are just lifestyle things rather than a complete/incomplete goal.

Continue to cross more things off my bucketlist. A list of 100 things to attempt before one passes away - making the list itself was actually quite difficult.

Resolutions are stupid but goals are great. Keep striving to better yourself and others!

I'm waiting for my wife to do her annual, "Our lives are horribly unorganised and we are simply wasting away. We must do something about it. I'm going to make a big list of stupid things I think we should do and we'll try to do them for about a month before we totally abandon those ideas and forget about them until next January."

Other than that, I would like to work on my photography and yo-yo skills.

I dont normally do the "New Year's Resolution" thing, but this year I have a group of friends who are all giving up smoking. $100 to the pot if one lights up this year.

I do yearly bucket lists that have many different things to do/accomplish throughout the year. I'm still working on it, but so far I have:

-Glenbow Museum
-Paintball
-Go to Vegas
-Warm Vacation (probably Cuba)
-Heritage Park
-Be on time for work at least 3 times a week.
-Learn to wake-board
-Pay off my car
-Get back to a 36" waist by March
-Take dance lessons
-Go to the zoo
-Wine and dine some beautiful women

I'll come up with about 20-30 more things to do. I try to keep most of them simple as I noticed there are a lot of things to do in this town that are overlooked.

Well I got in an avalanche on the 30th and messed up my knee so first things first:

1. Rehab knee (minor meniscus damage) and be on the hill again in 2 months or so.
2. Start tracking expenses. I used to do this but I got lazy. Its not so much to reduce my spending but moreso to know where I spend my money, and break it down by categories.
3. Clean up a lot of junk at home that needs to be thrown away/recycled/sold.
5. Be more efficient at scheduling my workday/work week. I tend to lose track of what I want to do and when. I procrastinate too of course.

1) stop working overtime (im on salary!!!) and actually use my flex and vacation days/go on a good vacation
2) work on my beyond social skills
3) start and finish my new project car
4) save for a downpayment on a house
5) Start contributing to an RRSP

And here I am torn between if I want to stay out here or not. I'm only out in the field for a year, but being out here has made me reach many financial goals 10x faster.

As for resolutions/ goals, don't really have any for 2012, except to keep the same strive I had in 2011 to progress in my job more.

Eh what the hell:

Financial:
-Invest and make 30k within 15months with a 6 figure initial buy in
-Have 50% for a down payment of the average house price in Calgary by Dec 31st
-Get an additional Raise aside from the April 1st annual one.

Fitness:
-Try to hit 10-12% @220lbs BW. Currently 17%@237
-Mid 400lb Trapbar Deadlift with the Low handles

Go fast:
-235WHP NA K20 in my FG2

:dunno:

I never make resolutions, I figure it's just things that I'd like to do. Lots of resolutions I see people making are things that NEED to be done which is not good.

Waiting for a new year excuse is not the way to proceed.
