Need help finding a flight with a twist...

I have a friend coming over from the Philippines to work, and long story short, their original flight got the kaibosh, so we need to find them another flight.

Flight details:
Leaving from Manila, landing in Calgary
Leaving Jan 9th
Can not land or have a connection in the USA (due to visas and crap)

looking for under $2k. if you can find something, please post it up here.

Look for JAL from Narita to YVR. Take PAL from Manilla to Narita. Done.

I was expecting a different scenario for this conversation. Like you needed a plane that had no specific destination or was gonna crash.

Yeah, we found those too, but most of them had a stop over in the USA, which needs a transit visa or something, which they don't have.

I need a flight for them, like I had, from Manila to Beijing, to Vancouver to Calgary. At the time I booked that, the flight was $1260 including taxes. Mind you that was 6 months ahead of the trip...

Have you considered booking two separate flights? For example, Manila to Vancouver on Philippine Airlines and then WestJet or Air Canada for Vancouver to Calgary?

Philippine Airlines has Manila to Vancouver flights for $1681 USD (taxes already included) and WestJet has Vancouver to Calgary flights for $256 CAD (taxes already included).
