Rumor is that TSX is gone. There is no point for TSX to exist at all especially ILX will probably come in a few grand under TSX and only a tad smaller. And why not just IL but ILX? Just think of all the "My Acura is IL" puns.

I assume it's R20, it should be good for 160HP and 140lb/ft of torque and the K24 in Si. Wonder if it will be tuned for more HP.

RDX is just now a baby MDX. But the front is reminding me of Saab.

All Acura looks like shit now! Wtf happen?

I don't mind that sedan, pretty conservative, but in that small car class most are. Def looks more upscale and less like a rebadged Civic.

As for the RDX SUV it looks like a new 2005 model all over again.

Yes, I was gonna say that RDX looks about 10 years old.

New RDX looks like it was designed in 2006

Guh, that fucking grill just kills all new Acuras for me. I can't stand it, the previous generation of RLs and TLs were so smooth and easy on the eyes. But that giant snaggle toothed grill is nasty!

Nothing new in terms of design, as many others' said these could have been designed years ago.

Boring. Bland. What are they thinking?!

Ultra conservative styling, I'm guessing they are trying to backtrack after the last "progressive" styling they had in the TL and RL (The Shield)

The ILX is not bad and I am sure it will sell well here in Canada now that the EL is gone and it looks like the TSX will go as well.

They should put the old turbo rdx motor in the ILX since they won't be using it in the rdx no more. That would be sweet!

The ILX looks bland at first glance, but it actually has some really interesting lines. I like it. That RDX looks like an old Subaru Forester and Ford Escape bastard child, very outdated already.

the ILX rear reminds me of the Infiniti M, overall the ILX does look pretty nice compared to the civic..

I just heard about this ILX. Looks good, it's definitely a huge improvement over the CSX. This is the replacement to the 1.7EL they should've had.

Some more nice pics here:

Let's see if Honda will self-sabotage Acura and it's new entry level model again.

Wow they killed off the only somewhat exciting engine they had

Shouldn't be posting concept shots since official press release is here:

The interior is really badly made imo. Especially these are suppose to be official PR shots.

It's basically Civic and Civic Si in a different package.

it would be amazing if they put the old RDX engine in it... now that would make an exciting acura car

RDX - something my wife would like.

Really it wasn't that great of an engine. Good midrange power but fuel economy was horrible if driven spiritedly. When your entry level CUV with a 4-cylinder engine gets the same or worse gas mileage than an EVO you have to chalk that up as a big fail.

is the 1st ILX pick a concept only? about freaking time they add LED to the mix given pretty much all luxury brand has already switched over.

From that angle the front reminds me of a mazda 6 sedan.

the rear looks alittle audi wannabe.

Anyway with a conservative styling, it is only a few mods away from making it look aggressive.

interior looks to be the same as current generation

Haha very conservative styling. Nothing edgy or cool at all. It's all good. Stay safe Honda!

Im ressurecting this thread to ask a question regarding Acura.

With the RDX having its turbo stripped out and the SH-AWD stripped out too is this likely in your opinion's to be an overall trend with future Acura models, and why would they strip the SH-AWD if it is considered superior over all other AWD systems?

Are they likely to start taking it out of future MDX's as well?

Does it matter? Are you going to hit a corner at 9/10th in an RDX or MDX?

That's the kind of car a junior accountant buys to look "edgy" to his WOW friends while still not clashing with his sweater vest.

Honda is run by accountants for the last 2 decades instead of engineers. It shows.

RDX is no longer on its own platform but a rebadged CR-V, hence the loss of SH-AWD.

I doubt they will rip it off higher price models.

I don't like the trim options for the ILX.

If you want built-in Navi and the "tech package", you can only upgrade the base model and you're stuck with a 150 hp engine car that is in the mid 30k price range.

Don't get me wrong, I've only owned Hondas and fully appreciate that the value of a car is more than just the hp, but that is kind of shitty.

I think the 2.4L option is pretty sweet, with the 6-speed manual...but that trim cannot be upgraded with a tech package.

Ideally, for a car like this, I would be very interested if they released a 2.4L automatic with the tech package and replace the current 150 hp model. It doesn't seem too far-fetched, granted that the 2.4L manual trim starts at 30k?

Anyway, the car is much nicer than a Civic and is an improvement to what the CSX was to last gen's Civic...but that is reflected in the price too.

Both decent looking vehicles imo - but both are nothing edgy or even that interesting with all the other designs out there.

By the end of the model runs they will look very dated indeed.

Easy now, you must be a high-class, cigar smoking, AMG Black, mature adult male exec in the oil industry. It's always funny when someone stereotypes who would drive a certain car. There's this auto resale website commercial that shows high school hip hop boys in a white Lancer pulling up beside a blue Lancer at a red light and in the blue Lancer it's two parents with kids in the back, lmao.

If you're shopping in this category, this is probably the best pick compared to the new Jetta or new Lexus Corolla. So much nicer than the CSX, and will age nicer than the CSX.
