Has anyone tried these? I was walking to the c-train station this morning from downtown and saw one zipping around the road and thought they looked kinda neat and would like to try one out. Anywhere to rent them in Calgary? I'm assuming they're kinda like bikes in an enclosed housing?

The one I saw looked similar to this:

No.

You have to get drunk first, then keep blowing into the alcohol powered engine.

I'd rather maintain my integrity and pedal a real bike.

It looks like it'll make your vagina sore.

Blahaha nice title Derrick.

:werd: I'd rather just ride a regular bike.

I don't mind it. It certainly helps a lot in protecting you from the elements.

Apparently, HPV (Human papillomavirus) does exactly that...

Sweet.

Anyway, the GF bought one of these, and the gas cost isn't even relevant.

EDIT:What the fuck was that D'z?

She doesn't use it anymore in regards to death or worse. That is, shit fuck other driver..."I'm changing lanes without shoulder checking"

They're the same fucks who almost run you over as they're trying to back out of a mall parking lot.

They're the same fucks too. They park right beside you in the mall parking lot, even though you deliberately parked 10 spaces away from everyone else.

I'm thinking human obliteration should be on the table.

If it's anything like recumbent bikes, the riders will be the biggest douchebags "look at me, I'm on a special bike"

what I don't get is it seems to me that recumbent bikes are incredibly inefficient. you completely lose having gravity on your side. I've never ridden one so maybe someone else can comment but it seems that if you ever needed to accel quickly to get out of a tight space you couldn't because you can't stand up and put your body weight into it???

you saw it on the road? did it have a plate on it? it would be cool if you could use it in fish creek and all the other parks to get to work, driving on the road might be a bit scary

The very same in which you use your feet for propulsion?
