the last owner blew up the alternator and most of the eletrical system in the car and rebuilt it, now the car needs a jump every time i have to start it, the cables connected to the posts are corroding, i already got a new battery a few months ago, could the corrosion on the cables be preventing proper charging?

sounds like it.. you might wanna replace the ground wire, and the postive lead wire along with the post conectors

should i go to the stealership for this stuff, or will crappy tire have what i need?

wire is wire, metal is metal.. just get the brass stuff from crappy tire and some battery post cream stuff..

its not hard.. 2 bolts on the battery, and one on each end

the battery is in the trunk, i dunno where the cables end they go under the trunk carpeting in stuff, sure i could figure it out though
