Brief explanation is I was rolling up to my parking spot when I ran over ice and slid into the parking barrier :( . Anyways, I'm not mechanically inclined but I don't think anything significant is broken, headlight looks ok, and I think the only damage is the mangled bumper.

$1

Did I win?

Seriously, all you need is a color matched bumper cover.

This gives you an idea roughly what an unpainted one cost.

The rest is cost to get it painted and installed. Installation should be pretty easy if you want to DIY. There is even a youtube video on how.

Bumper + Paint = $500 - $1000
Labour to remove old bumber and install new bumber $300 - $700

These are rough guesstimates. You may be able to find a used bumber from the wreckers in the same color. That would be much cheaper.

DO it yourself for the cost of a bumper(400?) and 20 bux for paint. It wont match the rest of the car but will be closish.

Pay someone to do it properly is probably around $1000 or a bit a bove.

Why don't you take this opportunity to modify your car to finally look like the accord of your dreams that you have in your signature?

Check the junkers if you want to save some money, might be able to score one the same color if it's a common one. Not sure the cost, probably about $400-$500.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm gonna try and find one at the junkers, if they don't have one I'll probably buy a color matched one. Might try to install it myself maybe not, we'll see.

Word of advice - don't go through insurance for this minor damage. :D

if its an older honda, just call A1 honda parts. maybe you get lucky and find a used stock bumper with the same color as your car.

I've always found A-1 to be a bit of a rip off for what you get.

car-part.com is your best friend when looking for junker parts. It should be able to tell you who in town has what.

check out pick n pull...you might get lucky.

Otherwise, get a roll of duct tape and wait for winter to pass...who knows, you might spend all this money fixing it and plow into something else.

Its a 03-05 Accord, I doubt they would have anything, I called about my coupe and they had absolutely nothing when I was looking for parts.

However lucky for you, that is a pretty standard colour that the car came in, if you find a wrecked one you should be able to match it.

Also, the 06-07 7.5 gen accord IS NOT a direct fit, so I would stay away from them.

I had a fender and door replaced (and painted) for $1800 4 years ago... prices can't have jumped THAT much.

Ya, no way it would cost over 300$ to remove a bumper and put on a new one. Any reputable shop should be able to do it in less then 30 minutes, I mean I can get it off in a few minutes.

US parts says 220$ for a new bumper, I'd say price here in Canada for the same bumper would be close to 500-600$. Labour for painting would probably be close to 300$ (my dad had his TL bumper repainted and it cost him around there).

So you are looking at say a grand.
