So, I bought a dress shirt. On it, label says it's "100% cotton" - however, I think it might be made up of something else too.

Is it me or has the store tricked me into buying it? Anything like this happen to you?

Thanks

EDIT: Probably should've posted this in Fashion...my bad.

Manufacturers aren't allowed to lie about the content of the fabric. If it says its 100% cotton; it is.

What makes you think that it isn't?

wow this thread is fucking moronic, don't know why I just posted this.

Totally a scam. Their website seems bogus, any legit company wouldn't ask for your credit card information just to look through their pages. The Nigerian flag in the top right hand corner should have given it away. Just tell them you are running an apple so they can shove their windows service up their ass.

The buttons might be the 1% less cotton you speak of, freakin' scammers everywhere.

Why do you think it's a bad thread? If this thread seems like a joke, I apologize. A mod can feel free to delete it. In this case, it feels like it's also made up of polyester or elastane as well.

However, it could be a tag error perhaps? :dunno: Hopefully it's 100% cottton. Or marketing tool to deceive customers...must be me.

If you have "non iron" cotton it will feel different, so will raw cotton and some organics. I know cotton in India feels very different from good old USA cotton, only comparing shirts in this example.

Maybe it's the tag that is 100% cotton.

Yes I know, the question itself might sound amusing but there are many cases you have to be aware of, anything can happen really. Dealership issues, fake quality, etc. But don't get me wrong, I guess that's why I like questioning things. :poosie:

Thanks guys.

I bet the name of the company that made the shirt is "100% cotton."

You know, just like there's a little town in China that they named "America" so they can put "Made in America" on all that cheap plastic and bamboo shit.

Set it on fire. If it burns completely to ash it's 100% cotton. If it melts, it has synthetic in it.

Only way to know.
