I have owned a 2005 for a couple years. I just sold it a couple months ago.

Con's:
The doors are very heavy and need to be slammed. What this means is none of your passengers ever close the doors and your interior light stays on killing the battery (Had to pull the bulb out of my interior light). The doors also being very heavy needs to be re aligned every 25,000kms.

Other things to mention.
Is I bought the car thinking it would be a great car to take to the mountains but they are absolutely horrible to drive on the highways. Extremely loud wind noise, any kind of cross wind sends you into the other lane and the windshield attracts rocks ($1800/ repair)

Things that go wrong are:
Door Locks
Window Regulators

In Conclusion you really need to drive one, ignore the looks and see if you could see yourself driving it.
They are crazy ass slow (unless you go AMG)
and the brakes need to be biggger, I came close to rear ending a lot of people.
Crank Sensors
Other then that they are built proof.

They are def a love it or hate it kinda car.

Good info, they've been around since the 80s and haven't really changed much since then. i love them though.
