No way! I've seen this truck a few times over the last few years and drool every time I see it!

I will definitely keep an eye out near SAIT.

Guilty conscience I guess!! Ahaha nah i was just going up a backroad to sait saw the truck and thought "such a sick truck" then put two and two together. I'm down the street, not leaving it until police get here, I don't want it to go missing again

Reminds me of this Simpsons episode.

Homer: There's still the little matter of the whereabouts of your wife.
Maude Flanders: Uh, I'm right here.
Homer: [sarcastically] Oh, I see! Then I guess everything's wrapped up in a neat little package!
[after a pause]
Homer: Really, I mean that. Sorry if it SOUNDED sarcastic.

Does anyone know the op? And can possibly call him? I have been waiting here for over an hour, cops still haven't come by... Not sure how long they take for a recovery... But I have to head to an appointment. Just don't want the truck to disappear again.

Again it's parked on the sw corner of 15th st and 6ave NW, just down the hill from SAIT

Slash the tires so it can't go anywhere!

Trucks recovered.

Honestly it's not a problem at all, I'd hope if I was in op's position another beyond member would do the same. Glad you're getting your truck back op

Muct be pretty embarassing for the cops that we find these cars before they do and even after they say they will never be recovered.

Nah, i don't think they get too embarassed. As important as your vehicle may be to you, there is other things going on in this city that require attention as well. :dunno:

BUT i do think citizens should get rewards from the government for doing things like this haha. Nice work man.

Thank you Vengie, it was my buddies truck, I had lost my beyond account and access to my old email I had used for this but I got it back.

On the topic of us looking for it compared to police, we see it and are keeping our eyes peeled, how many police do you think are informed of these missing vehicles?

Was this the thread that A790 was giving a free meet deal to his bistro? Or was that another thread???

Well regardless, thumbs up to Vengie.

I can answer this one.

I was on a ridealong with CPS, and they can send out CAD messages (CAD = computer aided dispatch) to the laptops of every cruiser in the city. If a car is stolen in Auburn Bay, cops in every district will likely hear about it. On my ridealong, we got one about a hit-and-run at a mall (it was either Southcentre or Chinook) involving a soccer mom in a minivan as the suspect.

Now I don't know how much attention they pay to those messages or how much they remember them, cause I'm sure they get several every day. But at least if your car is stolen and a cop on the other side of the city comes across it, the plate might ring a bell in his mind.

And even if notices aren't sent out city-wide, any officer can access information about any call or APB from any district. They usually have the filter set to their own district though, for obvious reasons. But city-wide stuff comes in regardless.

So the truck was stolen near SAIT and found near SAIT? Are you sure your buddy didn't just forget where he parked it?
