Has anybody tried the iRig.

I read the reviews and it just speaks the obvious. "Pros: Very affordable. Cons: Not as good as actual pedals. Not recommended for recording artists.

If someone has experience with it can you put up advice on how to get started and opinions.

Thanks

I use the iRig as a practice setup at home. You need to buy the iRig adapter, then the app. Then you can buy instore pedals. I just used the ones that came with it.

I use headphones to play so it doesn't bother anyone. The best part about the app is the ability to import from your iTunes library. Then you can slow it down to learn a specific solo, section, etc. then work your speed up. I use it whenever I have to learn a new solo.

I use it, works great, you can also run pedals before irig if you want a more specific sound

Have it and absolutely love it. It's definitely worth the price.
