Neat!

And what sort of performance will this give you?
What scooter is this stuff going on to?

I have been considering getting a Honda Ruckus for honking around the beach on, and riding to work. It would be nice if the thing had enough power to get out of its' own way.

Riding a Ducati Superbike in traffic is a horrible experience, and not good for the bike, either. A scooter sounds like a better alternative than a car. And I can park it anywhere.

going on a yamaha BWs/Zuma

I would have considered the honda, cept that 2 stroke is the way to go for power. However, the ruckus uses the same engine as the xr50s apparently, so there's lots of parts.

as far as power, should basically triple the power out of the bloody thing. I still need to get a kevlar drive belt so mine doesnt snap, and a better clutch.

Do the larger tires on the BW improve stability & handling?

I blame skinny tires on a rented scooter for my most serious roadrash scars of all, obtained when I hit a pile of some kind of animal feces on the highway on Saltspring Island. Maybe I would have spared myself pain & a tetanus shot if I had been riding a BW.

I'm yet to suffer any wobble at higher speeds (90+), and the thing can take a quite a lot of lean. I was booting down a road and there was a break in the asphalt for construction about 5 feet long that was filled with large gravel. I hit it going like 70, it felt a little squirrely, but I'm sure if I had been on a bike or something, I would have bailed.

That experience is a good acid test into the controllability and stability of those squat little tires. Good to know.
I have always worried about the stability and squirrelyness of little scooter tires ever since I Hit the Shit.

So how is it going with your modded zuma? I'm considering some of the same mods!

never got the parts installed... the exhaust was wrong, the carb was wrong, and I was pissed off.. sent them back to the states :drama:

anything else I buy will be from revoluzione... though it'll be marked up :(

You got that scooter up to 90+ stock?? My buddy has one, and he says that it gets up to 60 pretty easily, but struggles to get up to 70. I'm gonna pick it up for the commute, and would like some more opinions.

That's what I thought. So did you end up modding it, or are you still selling it?

are BW's the same as a zuma because theres this guy whos selling a zuma an I was wondering if those thing are any good? Hes got a lot done to it like a super-tuned exhaust, bigger carburetor, and larger clutch springs, rollers and a 70cc kit

so if any body could help me that wwould be great

yeah zuma is a BW.. same thing.

all these japanese 50cc scoots (except the new hondas) use 2 stroke mineralli engines.
