Had the day off so hung out at my buddies shop, helped with some stereo work and admired just a part of his collection. Sorry bout the shitty bb pics.
His personal truck/hauler, a 05 duramax:

Nice toys. Not entirely sure what his plans for the Amphibicar are, considering how far we are from any big body of water. :dunno:
I guess you can get first dibs on Sikome lake before it opens to the public but......
How much does he want for the 1500 SS? and any details? I may know a couple people that may be interested.
You should tell him to peel that vinyl off his duramax. That just kills it..
Would be a decent looking truck otherwise.
First guy I've ever seen into Javelin's. They're kind of the shy, red-headed step child of the muscle car world.

He has a cottage on the lake in little bow and a property on lake havasu.
I'm not a fan of the pin striping but he's big into it.
The SS is up for $16500.

^ lmao, he'd be lucky to get half that for it, even then..... What year is that anyway? '92? $16,500 is probably what that cost new.
A 454 SS isn't the same as a regular 90's half ton. I wouldn't be surprised if he got close to that for it. I wouldn't buy it for that because I have no use for it, but if I had one, I would't let it go for less either.

Ok, thinking I know who this is; guy was the guru with AMC motors once upon a time... Helped me build the frankenmotor (used parts from 304/360/390/401s) for my Heep once upon a time...
Does he still have that sleeper AMC eagle wagon - with the seriously worked over 390/401 under the hood?

Nope, no sleeper amc wagon. He used to own a custom truck shop and sold a few years ago. He's not just into AMC, it's just whats in the shop now.

People are asking $15000 for similar trucks with much higher miles and worse shape. Buddy goes to Barret jackson and scoops cars yearly, has 6 or 7 other classics in his collection and sells tons. I'm sure he knows what it's worth. I wouldn't pay $1000 for any urs4, but theres a market for them and I know that a perfect condition with super low km would fetch big bucks, same goes with this truck.

Aww... did I hit a funny bone there? Did I insult your car too? or just standing up for your buddies? Thats funny, you dont even know what I drive, but okay. A hot rod truck You've never seen (along with another truck I've never even mentioned), same with the car... but okay. About the only thing on this forum that I have pics of is the bike... thats it.
To be sure, thats not worth $1k either.

You didn't get my point. I'm not insulting you and I like your bike. I also remember you (I think it was you anyways) talking about a saturn aura, which I didn't insult.
What I was trying to get at is that different people have different tastes and while this may not be your cup of tea other people may appreciate it. I was comparing it to a urs4 because while I don't like them personally I know that there is a market for them and a mint one would fetch big $.
btw, I drive a dodge and a kawi so you didn't insult me.

I apologize. Seemed like that was a jab right at me.
:dunno: Sorry I take that back 100%. :thumbsdow
About the only thing I was poking fun of were the hot pink strips on buddies Duramax, not at all the truck it self.
Wanting in the mid teens for a 20 year old half ton (regardless of KM's or rarity) seems a bit asinine. Perhaps to some thats justified, but I'd much rather get a stepside Chevy 1500 from the southern states and toss a LS2 (& either a T56 Borg warner or an 4L60 in there) and pocket about $6k, meanwhile saving out the ass in fuel costs. :dunno: (to ME at least) $15k for that is crazy. Unless a persons sole intent was to put it in a collection; for performance I can think of a dozen better ways to spend that kind of coin.
No offense given or taken either way. :)
