I think he just thinks it's funny because you sound like a 12 year old; no offense. It is also hardly worthwhile modding a car that is two decades old... at least, most of the time.

Its an old car which was not designed for performance in the first place; the Thunderbird was more of a touring car for your grandfather. So expect a decent ride, but it isn't going to carve the corners nor accelerate briskly - even with a V8.

If you are looking for an older performance car, move onto something else. If you want to mod for cheap, I would suggest a 1st gen Talon. They handle a little better than a Thunderbird, and can be modded easily to around 300hp.

Really depends on what you are looking for in the car.

Straight line performance? It could be OK but there are still much better alternatives.
Good around corners? Definitely not the vehicle for you.

That v8 is the 4.6 modular right? Very moddable engine however your likely going to be held back by the lack of space as you mentioned.

I'd say if your not worried too much about handling and are happy with the 205hp or so it has. Sure why not, as it sounds like you already have ownership of it?
But IMO it wouldn't be worth putting money into it with mods. Would be cheaper to buy a Mustang or something else with better performance already.
Especially since you would likely be stuck with N/A mods ($$$$) only as I doubt a turbo or SC would fit, but I'm not familiar with the Thunderbird.

If you want that big, luxury look but want better handling and power, you can opt for a Lincoln Mark VIII. I used to have 2 of those, and you can get them real cheap now. 280hp and a better (air) suspension. They are big pimpin' too... especially if you lower it (which is super easy on the stock suspension)

I like fords and even for me this car is pretty low on the list. Not particularly fast, handles poorly, poor mileage, not a classic shape.

I do have a soft spot for big two door cars, but if it was me, I'd give this one a pass.

Yeah for you to stop posting. Dunno if it was said before but it would be a brilliant idea.

Not too sure if THIS was said before, but not even in mint condition would I (or anybody) give you over $1300 for it. $600 is really quite fair for a (very undesirable) car encroaching on 20 years old. Really; this thread is irrelevant.

Forget the Thunderbird, you need a Vigor. It's designed after a puma! Just order one from Arash (make sure you pre-pay, being jobless, he needs the funds to start production) you'll get it eventually.

he's leaving beyond (doubt it) and doesn't want to leave any incriminating things behind. clearly he has too much time on his hands to come back and erase everything. But, since he has only been a member for a little over a week and has made over 100 posts (he was the top poster last week) I am sure he has some free time on his hands

LOL if you check the "suggestions" section he has a thread about leaving. So good bye to him I guess. :dunno:

Kind of funny he bumps this thread with a

" . " much like a young kid saying ' FINE!!!! IM LEAVING!!! '

Fine buddy, go.... foolish troll actions typically equate to being treated like a troll by everybody else. Every action equates to an exact and opposite reaction. Nothing new here. :dunno:
