I've owned several rhd cars and have never had any issues with insurance companies refusing to give theft and fire coverage for it.

But now it seems like every insurance company I contact is willing to do liability but not theft and fire.

Are there any companies you could recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Hate to say it, but good.

RHD are just not designed for our road system.

The amount of times they turn left in front of me, because they can't see.

Reconsider your seating position I say.

What does them having problems turning left have to do with fire and theft insurance?

This one was proven not to be me. It was a black car in the south.

Tinted windshield, nothing wrong with that. It was 45%

I ride my bike with a tinted visor (closer to 20%), so does every member of the community. Nothing wrong with that.

How, you might ask?

Is when a car turns left in front of you, and causes a collision, insurance is involved.

then someone runs up, steals the wheels and lights it on fire?

oh and do you still stand behind your choice of not using your headlights for short drives at night?

You're correct. 1 time out of every day, for over 7 years, I believe that is 1/2555 which is 3.9138943248532289628180039138943e-4% of the time I do.

You are classic, you drive around at night with no headlights on with a tinted windshield and say that someone driving a rhd car is a danger.....

OP Intact said they gave me full coverage on my car since there is a north american equivelant, so it may depend what kind of car your trying to insure.

And i have had plenty of times where i cant see if its clear to turn left in my LHD car. If you turn when you cant see your a fuckin retard. Still seems safer to sit on the right side then drive around at night with a tinted windsheild and your lights off.

Why do you get trolled so easily?

It's a RHD insurance thread and I bring up how I hate RHD cars.

Ignore me?

:dunno:

Most companies do not offer section C for RHD. Intact does not offer section C unless you can obtain a letter from a dealership or some sort showing that parts are avaliable. If you have section C with them....they probably missed it or some sort.

I was on Intact when I had my Skyline and I recall them declining full coverage when I asked for a quote one day out curiosity. Never bothered me that much because the car wasn't really worth a whole lot, but I did always wonder what I would have done if I had an expensive JDM car.
