Foglight Kelvin

Looking at changing out the bulbs in my foglights (halogen or HID) but am reading a lot of conflicting information about what temperature is best. I don't care about the look, if it's JDM tyte...whatever. I need something that increases light output, and reduces glare in blizzardy and foggy weather.
