Anyone else use this? I recently discovered it and its pretty damn amazing. They have a good number of restaurants on there. Is there another app/service that is similar?

Myself and my parents book through OpenTable. It's quite well known.

Yep, use it every time I get reservations now. It's pretty nice, especially the feature where you can search for restaurants based on time availability if you've got a certain time you need to eat out on a busy weekend.

Yeah opentable is awesome. Best part is the points you get for booking. I'm about 3/4 of the way to the 10,000 point cheque!

Use it all the time when it's available, never had an issue with it.

i always use opentable and tell restaurants that don't use it to get it! I do all the big days like Valentines, Anniversaries nearly a year ahead so easy. I have said this before....... reservations are easier to cancel then they are to get sometimes.

I've used it many times, works great.

Lots of the restaurants follow up to confirm to which is a great reminder

Yep, works great. Instead of phoning ten places trying to get a table, you can see them all with reviews and price range. Works well when you are out of town too.

Wonder how much a restaurant has to pay to be on OpenTable? Unless there is a huge fee, I don't see why a restaurant wouldn't want to be on it.

It's definitely useful and helped me find out about restaurants I would have never known about beforehand.

So I guess opentable is the best. Looks like they are a public company too, maybe I should invest....

I didn't realize you can get 100 points every time for making a reservation on Open Table! 2000 points gets you a $26 gift certificate to use at any participating Open Table restaurant. 5000 points gets you 65 bucks and 10000 gets you 130 bucks.

Some restaurants give you 1000 points if you make a reservation during non peak hours (5 PM, 5 30 PM, 9 PM) etc. It's usually the pricer restaurants though.
