Hey beyond, I'm looking to have a professional website developed and was wondering if anyone can answer some questions for me before I start shopping around for a developer.

My main questions have to do with the costs associated with certain aspects of the build. There is a marketplace for online purchases with a shopping cart function, paypal, credit cards, etc. I'm also going to have them implement forums and have the ability for customer feedback per product.

Lastly, I will have the designing company do the SEO work.

I just sent out for some quotes and expect them back sometime in this coming week. So I am looking for info on how long it takes to implement these functions and what I should expect to pay for quality work, also what I should watch out for in the terms of hidden costs or bullshit fees.

This is my first foray in to this type of venture so I would like to get some unbiased information.
