Ralph McQuarrie is a name that many people do not know, but have been majorly influenced by. Anyone that has seen Star Wars, E.T., or about 300 other movies will have seen something that he painted or realized or had a helping hand in creating. He was THE greatest concept artist in the movie biz in the 80's and 90's.

So take a moment and honor the passing of a great artist that helped shape the some of the most important movies of my generation (I'm 30, if that gives you an idea of what generation I'm in)
