There are northern lights out tonight. They're not incredibly bright so you'll likely have to head out of the city.

Apparently Venus and Jupiter can be seen as well tonight in the West sky. They are beside one another.

newb question but where should you be looking to see them? I'm guessing North/North-West?

Yes, they have been very bright here in Maui the past week or so. They even shine through light cloud cover. Pretty neat.

The lights were visible in SE Sask for about an hour. I missed the best of the show, was on the highway without my camera. Hurried home and still got a couple decent pictures.

We missed out on the extreme night (Friday) .... mainly due to cloud cover.

Was out by braggggg creek until 11pm .... nothing (even looking at clear skies).

extreme northern lights my ass...

Highways between Sask/AB have always been sick for northern lights. Driving back from Saskatoon I've driven under bright green skies tons of times, crazy shart especially when you are trying to avoid them deer.
