Fenders primered, along with the hood, finally got the Techart blade installed and did some testfitting of the carbon mounts... Trunk lid gap was a touch off so we have to cut it all apart and re-glass the trunk lid so we have a smooth even bodyline..

Haha, i debated rocking it for a week all primered,to be honest.. but opted against it.. supposed to see paint on thursday keep my fingers crossed we finish re-glassing the trunk this evening.. everything else is done and ready to spray..

If its the car i am thinking its Burgundy colored? They painted it a couple years back? paint on it looks amazing.. No orange peel anywhere.. Clear coat looks like glass.. :love: Mine is getting shot this afternoon i pick it up tonight

Burgundy yes, but it was painted just last fall.
4 doors, black roof, size of a boat. :D

I took it elsewhere actually had a guy out in springbank do it.. paint turned out flawless..

Side skirts are original techart polyurethane, 3m'd as well.

Looking at ordering the center radiator ducting and brackets to make the top bumper exit work for the downforce, $1k in parts needed. :bullshit:

Yea i looked into it as well... BS.. the other thing your fender liners are slightly different and won't bolt into the lower lip spoiler so i had to trim mine a little to get it to work...

When are you installing it? i would love to see the OEM front end...

All i can say is props goes out to Chris (Revhard) @ Unobtainium welding... He did everything i wanted, and was able to get me in on a very short time frame... I recommend him to anyone looking for a custom piece similar to this :love: :love: :love:

That's a great idea. I really like that....Only real way to get it to do anything.
Even the factory outside tip isn't functional. Because of the staggered sizes, the hole isn't centered.

I liked the part where it was out of focus and then it came into focus but you went a little too far and went out of focus again so you dialed it back a notch and it was in focus at the end.

Saw you merging onto Stoney from 16th on Friday, looks really sleek. How much more expensive is it to mod/maintain a car like this compared to the MR2? (If you don't mind me asking). Always liked the 996's but only if they were slightly changed from stock...

Its reasonable, i havn't had any major issues with the car so far.. Knock on wood! Mods are definitely more money, but i dont have to do as many mods so it probably balances out.. IE a re-flash is like 1500 bucks on these cars, extra 120hp or so though... Im enjoying it, this car doesn't feel nearly as quick as the MR2 because overall ride quality is nicer.. 100 in the 996 feel like 50 in the MR2.. I always underestimate my speed in it :(

The entire front end and roof are all paint protection, its AWD, winter tires and has heated seats... :eek:
