Max has been pressuring me to start my own build thread, with that being said here it is.....

I sold the MR2 it was time to move onto bigger and better things, Found a 03 996 TT with no mods other than a set of wheels. Car has been maintained at Alpine Autowerks for the last 5 years of its life.. Which is somewhat reassuring for me :poosie:

Hahah i wasn't car has been in the garage all weekend putting the stereo in.. SW20 will be missed but its staying within the SW family, if you wanna go see it its in mikes garage parked next to the white POS parts car.. hahaha Jon bought it ;) :dunno:

Oh Common Toma, you know me better than that.. Iv only had the car for 3 weeks... you haven't even given the shipping companies enough time to deliver parts yet ;)

stuff is on the way, don't you worry..

Pull motor? why would i do that... If i recall correctly 1000whp has been done over and over on these cars on stock internals..

heck software, intercoolers, big injectors and pending turbo can put you in into the high 600, low 700WHP on pump gas...

Chip, intake and exhaust is neck and neck with the new GTR, and you can launch it all day without voiding your warranty... :nut: :nut:

1000whp is a bit of a stretch on stock internals, but none the less the cars are becoming the new civic on Beyond...lol

I'd start a build thread but I cant until the articles are completed. Gonna be an interesting summer.

no but seriously im very content with the power it makes right now, its reliable, quick and fun in the snow.. Non power mods will be what the car sees other than chip, intake and exhaust for this season.

Well we know the E90 M3 with it ESS supercharger couldn't keep up

Hey the M3 just couldn't put the power down coming out onto the front straight, the GTR doesn't have that problem, but the M3 is still faster in from 3rd gear on...

Lol not so sure I'd agree to that, then again I was still running the stock exhaust. Factory turbos with only a flash...

I briefly thought about a GTR myself, a friend is on his second one as his winter car. He loves it for that purpose but doesnt like tracking it. Has a few other drivers cars for that.

Tanner had D&W machine a simple sr20, he picked the rest of the combo and assembled, I tossed her on the dyno, and at 16 pounds, she cranked 350 torque, and creeping to 18 psi, it made 435 rwhp ;) :poosie:

But, that's cool. The 996 are nice looking cars. Kinda for chicks, but not as bad as Boxsters..... :D

Take your rad scoops off and clean out the raditaors while the bump is off, i just did mine. Unbelievable how much crap was in there...blow them out from the back as well.

Looks good except for the 997 splitters on the intercooler inlets. There's a reason Porsche didnt put them on the GT2RS.

Let me know when your taking your bumper in for paint, mines ready to go :)

Yea i saw all the garbage in there im gonna take it to the carwash before i go for paint and just blast the radiators and the vents out.. tons of dead grasshoppers and gunk..

I dont mind the look of the Techart splitters.. We are gonna mold them into the actual vents so they look like one piece and not an afterthought..

Im just waiting on my new decklid to arrive and than everything is going off to paint.. should be under 2 weeks:eek:

19x12... and yea 305/30/19 was the biggest i can get that doesn't interfere with the front tire size diameter... The Differential doesn't like difference in overal diameter.. :nut:

What size fronts? I run 255/35-19 which is a great match for the 305/30-19. I run on 11.5" so 12" won't be much different she'll hardly notice...

Everything looks lined up, had to do a little bit of an adjustment around the headlights on the front bumper other than that the precision porsche Front bumper lines up like a dream.. well worth the extra money..

I know buddy believe me we arnt painting its going to a booth.. just sprayed primer super quick so we can see if the molding needs to be re-puttied.. everything will be primered directly before paint and than decked with 800...

Mine are LE37s.. Not SL's. Polished lips give that away... same with the silver color. I needed new decals and wasnt going to pay the $20per from Volk.. the SL decal was the one that was easiest to cut from a local vinyl shop.
