Ok so I think I am pretty set on ordering some VMR V710 wheels from 1010tires IF they will fit. I would be looking at 18x8.5 +45 front and rear with 225s on the front and 255s on the rear. I don't think a 18x9.5 +50 will fit on the rear without rubbing.

Does anybody think I can run a 18x8.5 +45 front and rear with 225 and 255 on stock suspension? I can't seem to find the answer online.

I dont see a problem why the +50 rear wont fit. Im sure you could run a lower offset for both front and rear but +45 front and +50 rear sounds about right for the 1-series with stock height.

I think im going to go with 18x8.5 +45 and 18x9.5 +50 but now I have to choose between the V710 and V701 and whether I want hyper silver or gunmetal...

Hyper Silver V701 is my vote.

Not really planning to lower the car, its a year round daily driver that gets 30000km a year, its low enough that I have to be very careful in places as it is right now. Maybe 1/2" at maximum at some point.

Pictures? I have a 2011 135i in LMB and will be wheel shopping next year. I was thinking APEC ARC-8 in gunmetal with 235 F / 265 R tires.

Cheers,
B

That would be a cool set-up. We have a couple of sets of ARC-8s arriving next week if you want to see them in person.

Lookin' good! The bright silver is really nice against the medium blue paint. Clean and classy! Enjoy them and drive safely :)

Bollocks - I didn't see your reply until now. I'll see if I can get up there on Saturday to have a look (hoping you've still a set of the ARC-8's around). Thanks!

Cheers,
Bryan

i wonder how much farther you can offset the wheels out on a 1 series....
are your fenders rolled? and your stock ride height?

Twin_Cam_Turbo

Stock rideheight and no fender roll on mine, can not go anymore aggressive with those tires without rubbing that's for sure, it's very close.

would you be interested in letting me a test fit to see the fitment on mine?
