limescale buildup

I cleaned out my furnace humidifier and found the filter stuffed with limescale or hardwater. We have a water softner already. But this got me worried that my hot water tank and my pipes will be full of limescale.

Anything I can do to remove this from the pipes?

Someone said getting a reverse osmosis system will push clean water through that will eventually clean the pipes.

The buildup is caused by the drop in pressure going from line pressure to atmosphere, your pipes are fine.
