So its not really paint but plastidip which is available in canada but is much cheaper in the US than it is here(1/3 the price) As well shipping to canada is expensive. As well they just came out with some new colours I would like to pick up.

I talked to the manufacturer down there and they cannot ship the new colours to canada because they have not prepared the Canadian labels for the cans (no french warnings)

The MSDS sheets for all the colours are exactly the same. and since they sell some of the colour here already its not like its a banned product.

Am I going to have any problem getting it across the boarder? Is there any limit that I can bring back/transport at a time. Ideally I would like to pick up about 10gallons of the stuff but really only need 2.

I would be having it shipped down to sweetgrass spending the day in Montana touring around then picking it up and coming back the same day.

I called border services today but got put on hold and was nearing the end of the day so didn't have much luck going that route.

I would be very surprised if they didn't allow it through. I mean... it's paint. (More or less)

Quick google search points to the Hazardous Products Act. Dig deep enough and you'll see that you need a MSDS sheet to import into Canada.

Call border services again, they'll tell you the same thing.

I cant find black plastidip anywhere, all sold out. Anyone know where they have it in stock? Tried auto values and industrial paints and plastics.

Home hardware in Airdrie. They had 4-5 cans last week.

After going-to/calling about 10 hardware stores, I finally found a couple black spray cans at the AutoValue on 52nd St & 17th Ave. They had about 10 cans left as of just this past Saturday.

auto value stores stock them readily... if they are out, go back a week later and there will be more
